Jone Arsenault

Trumpet of the Swan

The current novel selection for Room 206 students is The Trumpet of the Swan by E.B. White.  Reading and guided question review has currently been assigned through chapter 15.

Our next novel will be My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George, a wonderful novel about the adventures of a very independent and free spirited boy who decides to live by himself in the wilderness.

Historical Fiction Book Report

The due date for the historical fiction book report has been changed to February 26, 2009.  Students must be prepared with a completed book report form (which they can choose from the seven forms available in the classroom), a visual of their choice and a short oral presentation. Any student that wants to receive extra credit in reading can complete an additional book report and will need to talk with Ms. Arsenault about when they will be ready to give a presentation. Time will be given for all requests.
