Land of Lincoln Readers -- 2009 Children's Summer Reading Program

Read for fun all summer long during the annual Summer Reading Program open to kids three to fourteen.
Please join us this summer in any of the Chicago Public Library's locations, including all the neighborhood libraries and the Thomas Hughes Children's Library, to read across the city. Children ages three to fourteen are invited to learn about Abraham Lincoln and Illinois.
It is the vision of the Clissold School Library that all students and staff are effective users of ideas and information, competent and enthusiastic readers, independent learners and positive contributors to the school community and to society.
Mission
The mission of the Clissold Library is to assist all members of its community tby delivering a library program that is integral to teaching and learning: to enhance the curriculum of the school by providing a collection guided by the needs and interests of the users; and to provide support for:
Effective teaching;
Curriculum integration;
Professional development;
Use of online resources;
Coordination of library technology with other technology in the school;
Grant application and implementation; and
Coordination of school and public library resources and services.
