Room 401 All Stars
Homework 3-9-10
Continue working on the study island reading section, especially interpreting instructions, main idea and supporting details, context clues, fact and opinion, sequencing and ordering, and purposes for reading.
If you didn't finish the conversion problems from last night's homework posting, please have it ready for tomorrow to start our new series. We have a winner to our first series!
Long-Term Projects
The second science book report is due March 19th and should be completed on the newspaper article form. Late book reports will not be accepted. Science fair projects are due at the end of the month. Please follow the packets sent home in February about the scientific method and visit the websites that were sent home in the parent letter on December 18th (and posted on the classroom website December 19th) when assembling your project board with all the sections of the scientific method. Data can be displayed in any of the types of graphs about which we have learned: bar, double bar, line, or pie.
Student Tips
Madeline reminded us about how to remember that synonyms are words that mean the same. Synonym begins with the letter s and same begins with the letter s. If we know that synonym are words that mean the same, then we know that antonyms are the opposite -- words that mean the opposite.
Notes
Get a good night's sleep and eat brain food. Tomorrow is the last day of ISAT testing.
Please return the parent signature page for the packet of work that was sent home yesterday and the selective notes that were sent home today.
Have a great afternoon and evening!
