This year has flown by with many of us in Inclusion classes all day. As graduation rapidly approaches (sniff!), please remember that you can contact me regarding ANY classes or high school information. Part of your students' 8th grade goals is to become a self-advocator and to recognize available resources. Currently, I am your students' best resource!
Please purchase all supplies listed on the MYP supply list. As it states, when you receive your schedule and assigned Language Arts teacher, you will then purchase the 2 additonal novels to be read this year. I hope you're having a great summer!
Parents, please recognize our hard work this past quarter during a very difficult quarter. We studied literary techniques- understanding the development of themes, characters and plots and then responded to that literary material from our own personal and critcal points of view. We also studied and applied geometric concepts as well as computed area, perimeter and volume in polygons. We completed expository writing and delved into more difficult grammatical study.
It was a tough quarter and we're proud of the work we did and the grades earned! Remember that a C means your student is doing exactly what he/she is supposed to be doing. As extensive and challenging the work may be, an A is not always warranted within our high standards in Room 301-A. Rest assured that your student worked hard for the grade earned!
