Sixth grade students in Sra. Mayer's spanish class will have an oral test on "El Juramento a la Bandera", (The Pledge of Allegiance), on Monday, May 4. Students will be required to recite the pledge from memory. Below you can find the Pledge:

Congratulations to our newest set of Math Wizards! These students have worked hard with their teachers and parents in learning their multiplication facts. They are being recognized with Math Marvel ribbons personally presented by the Assistant Principal, Mrs. Hernandez. Clissold School, featuring IBMYP and Montessori programs, is full of exciting events.
In room 109, taught by Mrs. Bulger, the kindergarten and 1st grade students are anticipating the arrival of their praying mantises, which will hatch in February.
In room 101, the 2nd and 3rd grade students, taught by Mrs. Pietrus, are learning about sharks, amphibians, and symmetry—all at once. The students are excited about the field trip they will be attending to go snowshoeing at Indiana Dunes Environmental Learning Center on January 27th.
On Friday January 23rd, Clissold sixth and eighth graders completed at the Area-wide Science Fair competition. Mike Griffin earned eighth grade first place honors and now qualifies to compete in the city-wide competition. Robert Tichy won first place in the sixth grade competition. He will be honored at an Area luncheon and will be a guest at the City-wide fair. Congratulations to these top-performing students and to their teachers, Mr. Taff and Ms. Blum.
